Diwali Event Modified and Postponed

We at NBIAA are devastated by the unfolding of the recents events in the community. So many of us have been impacted and so many lives turned upside down, that there are no words to describe what each and everyone of you must be going through.

We wish we were starting the Indian new year under better circumstances, but the fact is that we can do a lot more good being a resource for the community during these trying times rather then spending our energies on a celebration.

With that in mind, we have decided to cancel the Diwali Event scheduled for October 21st and the NBIAA Executive Committee is working on turning our website into a resource site for those looking for answers and help.

We plan on holding a Community Dinner in the very near future to bring the community together. We will be sending all of you a date on when that will happen (most likely in early to mid December). For those of you that have bought tickets, we will issue you free tickets to the December event. In case you feel you are not up for it, we will be more then happy to refund your ticket price. Please send us an email at

At the same time, we want to share a wonderful campaign that NBIAA will undertake, in helping 10 devastated families overcome the difficulties during these trying times. If you would like to contribute to our fundraising campaign, please donate to:

Be safe, Be positive, and continue to Be there for one another as you have been because we will definitely get through the difficult road ahead. We are a stronger community now than ever before and together we will overcome any challenges set before us.  Once again the team at NBIAA wants to wish you and your family a wonderful Diwali and Happy New Year's.
